Bodily Injury Liability

Injuries that you (insured) cause to someone else is covered under this part of a
motorcycle insurance policy. The minimum bodily liability insurance coverage available for purchase in Georgia is 25/50 and is explained in detail below. However, we recommend that you choose liability insurance coverage amounts that are much higher than the state for  Georgia minimums listed above.
Contact us at (678) 560-2525 to discuss what liability
coverage amounts you require to meet your family and personal needs.

Georgia Liability Coverage limits explanation:

25/50/25 25=$25,000 - 50=$50,000 - 25=$25,000
First number = bodily injury liability maximum for one person injured in an accident.
Second number = bodily injury liability maximum for all injuries in one accident.
Third number = property damage liability maximum for one accident.

Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability covers your legal liability for a covered accident that involves injury to another person or damage to someone's property, up to the limit of liability you select. If your limits are 15/30/10, this means: No more than $15,000 would be paid per person for Bodily Injury No more than $30,000 would be paid per accident for Bodily Injury No more than $10,000 would be paid per accident for Property Damage Example: You are at fault for an accident that injured two people and damaged another vehicle. The other driver's total medical bills were $5,000 and the other passenger's total medical bills were $3,000. The damage to the other vehicle was $8,000. All injuries and damages would be covered because they fall within the Liability limits you selected. Each person's injuries were less than $15,000, and the amount for all injuries was less than $30,000. The other vehicle's damage also was below the $10,000 Property Damage Liability limit. On the other hand, if you are at fault for an accident and the medical bills from the injuries or property damage that you cause exceed your limits of liability, your personal assets may be at risk. Property Damage Liability

Damage caused by the insured (you) to someone else's property, such as a motorcycle, car, fence, or house, is covered through property damage motorcycle insurance coverage. The minimum coverage amount in Georgia is $25,000.

Example:
You are at fault for an accident that injured two people and damaged another vehicle. The other driver's total medical bills were $5,000 and the other passenger's total medical bills were $3,000.

The damage to the other vehicle was $8,000. All injuries and damages would be covered because they fall within the Liability limits you selected. Each person's injmedical bills from the injuries or property damage that you cause exceed your limits of liability, your personal assets may be at risk.

The deductible is the amount you choose to pay upfront (if any) before the motorcycle insurance policy pays. The higher the deductible chosen the lower the comprehensive coverage cost within the Georgia Motorcycle Insurance policy.

by another vehicle or other object. The deductible is the amount you choose

higher the deductible you choose, the lower the collision coverage cost

Medical Payments Coverage - Georgia Motorcycle Insurance Policy

Medical payments coverage pays for the medical and funeral expenses for you or others hurt or killed in an accident while riding on or driving your motorcycle. Claims against this coverage include all reasonable hospital, surgical, chiropractor, X-ray, dental, professional nursing, prosthetic, and funeral expenses. It will also cover you or members of your family if you are hit by a car when you are walking or if you are riding on another motorcycle. This Georgia motorcycle insurance coverage will pay for your medical and funeral expenses even if you cause the accident. The coverage is often limited to medical care you get in the first one, two, or three years after the accident and is limited to a specific dollar amount. This is not a required motorcycle insurance coverage in Georgia.

Example You sustain $2,000 in injuries from a fall off your bike when you turned too quickly. You do not have any health insurance, which means you can use your MedPay coverage, up to the $1,000 limit you selected, for your injuries. You are required to pay the other $1,000 in medical bills.

Uninsured Motorist Coverage - Georgia Motorcycle Insurance Policy

Covers the insured (you) for your bodily injury caused by a hit-and-run driver or an at-fault driver
Underinsured Motorist Coverage - Georgia Motorcycle Insurance Policy

This coverage comes into play when an at-fault driver has auto or motorcycle liability
insurance, but the limit of insurance is inadequate to pay for your damages.

Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury Coverage

This type of motorcycle insurance coverage pays for your medical expenses, lost
wages, and other damages when you or your passengers are injured in an accident
caused by a driver who has insufficient auto or motorcycle insurance coverage. The
motorcycle insurance coverage typically pays the difference between the coverage limit you select and the other driver's bodily injury coverage limit. This is not a required motorcycle insurance coverage in Georgia.

Example A driver who has no insurance bumps your motorcycle from behind while you're sitting at a stop sign. The bike falls on your foot and fractures it, causing you to incur $6,000 in medical bills. Your bike has $2,000 in damage. Your Uninsured Motorist limits are $20,000/$40,000/$15,000, which means your injuries and the damage to your bike fall within these limits and will be covered.

Custom Parts and Equipment/Accessory Coverage

When you purchase Comprehensive or Collision coverage, at least $1,000 of Custom Parts and Equipment (CPE)/Accessory coverage is included in most states. Additional CPE coverage can be purchased to cover equipment, up to $30,000 in value. CPE covers equipment, devices, accessories, enhancements and changes, other than those that the manufacturer originally installs, that alter the appearance or performance of a motorcycle or off-road vehicle. This includes, but is not limited to: Any electronic equipment, antennas and other devices used exclusively to send or receive audio, visual or data signals or play back recorded media, other than those that the manufacturer originally installs, that are permanently installed on the motorcycle or off-road vehicle using bolts or brackets, including slide-out brackets Sidecars (when attached to the insured cycle) Trailers designed to be pulled behind a motorcycle or off-road vehicle (when attached to the insured cycle) Trike conversion kits Custom paint, custom plating or custom exhaust Mower blades, plow blades or winches Safety riding apparel, including helmets. (Coverage is provided in the event of a Collision loss. Theft is not covered.) Please note: We recommended you retain photos of the motorcycle and all receipts for custom parts and equipment.

Example Your bike has a custom paint job, handlebars, levers, sissy bars and fenders that total $5,000. Because it exceeds the automatic $1,000 CPE coverage given with Comprehensive or Collision coverage, you purchase an additional $4,000 in CPE coverage to ensure the parts are covered if they're damaged in an accident.

Roadside Assistance- If your motorcycle breaks down, Roadside Assistance will pay to tow it to the nearest qualified repair facility. Roadside Assistance also covers the necessary labor costs at the place of breakdown when your motorcycle or off-road vehicle is disabled due to any of the following:Mechanical or electrical breakdown Dead battery

  • Flat tire
  • Lockout
  • Insufficient supply of fuel, oil, water, or other fluids
  • Entrapment in snow, mud, water, or sand within 100 feet of the roadway
